Treat your body well with massage
Services by appointment only
Treatment for general relaxation and stress reduction. Helps relieve tired, sore muscles and works on the nervous system to reduce stress and encourage relaxation.
An integrated massage that may include both Swedish and Deep Tissue techniques to address specific areas of tightness or discomfort/dysfunction.
Scar Tissue Massage
Massage using specific techniques to soften and realign fibers of scar tissue. Scar tissue work is typically incorporated into a regular full hour massage session.
Cancer treatments are challenging to the body and those undergoing chemotherapy, radiation, and/or surgery will have special needs and precautions when it comes to receiving massage. In general, massage given to a person going through cancer treatment will be slower, lighter, and possibly of a shorter duration than that given to a person without cancer. Evidence has shown that massage for those undergoing cancer treatment has been an effective complimentary treatment particularly in areas of pain management and decreasing anxiety levels.
Treatment focusing on the special needs of pregnant women, including modifications made for positioning on the massage table and adjustments to depth and speed of pressure, so that the expectant mother can receive a safe and beneficial massage. Massage during pregnancy has many benefits for both the mother and baby – it can help to improve circulation, provide relief from edema (swelling), insomnia, and muscular strain and tension from pregnancy posture, connect mother and child, and increase blood flow and oxygen to the baby.
Treatment that incorporates natural, aromatic plant oils into massage to provide a specific health benefit.
Jin Shin Jyutsu®
A traditional Japanese form of energy work that involves the application of the hands to specific “pressure points” in order to gently balance the flow of energy in the body.
Foot Reflexology is based on the theory that there are reflex points on the feet that correspond to all the organs and systems of the body. Stimulating these reflexes on the foot helps to break up tension and blockages in other parts of the body and restore the body to balance. A typical reflexology session involves massage and stretch of the feet, followed by pressure applied to reflex points with the thumb and fingers.
A holistic energy balancing treatment that promotes deep relaxation and helps to restore balance to the body’s chakras (energy centers).
